Preface
Preface
Several years ago when the Navajo were dying
mysteriously
from what later turned out to be inhalation of the deadly
hanta virus, a Navajo shaman was asked by a reporter about
the unexplained deaths. The shaman answered that he had
seen a god walking across the horizon. The stories in this
volume were inspired by that remark. The horizon is, after all,
not a place but a
perspective. What happens there depends on who you are.
