The Arborway Line was closed on December 28, 1985.  Although officially service was "suspended" between Heath Street and Forest Hills, the change became permanent.  Recently, the MBTA has considered restoring service to the line, and there is currently a debate regarding whether the service will be light rail or CNG bus.

Regardless of the method chosen, the Arborway Line will soon undergo a permanent change, so I went out and took this photo essay of the line.
