The vaporization rate will be in kg/m^2.s, as it is for a given surface area, and the vapou pressure will be kPa. What are the parameters/properties that are needed to calculate the rate for a given temperature at normal atmospheric pressure? What I am looking for is NOT a simple solution to this problem, but the detailed proceedure through which the vapourisation rate of water may be calculated, and its connection with the vapour pressure of water. NONE of your archives seem to have this information, and I have been unable to locate any site on the web that even gives me a satisfactory answer to this query. Further more, the university library does not have any details about this matter. Perhaps a rewording of the question may be in order: What is the proceedure/equation by which the diffusion of water into atmosphere at SATP can be determnined, and what is its relation to vapour pressure of water? I do hope that you can help. Yours faithfully, Danny Lim Researcher
