Sydney skyline
Our tour guide took us to a park kind of far away from the city so we
could get this shot of downtown, the Opera House, and the Harbour
Bridge.
Sydney skyline and me
I think my head is blocking the Harbour bridge.
Lighthouse
This is one of two lighthouses in Sydney. I took the picture from a
moving bus.
Dingo
We went to a koala park, but they had assorted other animals there, like
Dingos! She was a cutie.
Wombat!
This is Mathilda, the Wombat. Apparently she's very vicious if you get
too close to her face, so we could only pet her from behind. Someone in
my group said she looked like a giant hamster. :) The guy is the Wombat
Handler (I don't know if that's his official title, but it should be).
Koalas
The biggest one has a little baby near her stomach that you might be
able to see.
Oblivious koala
They just plopped this little guy here and gave him some leaves, and he
was oblivious to the fact that we all kept coming up and petting him.
Baby kangaroo
This park had a kangaroo feeding area like the one in Kuranda, but this
one was cooler because there was a baby kangaroo in its mother's pouch.
Baby kangaroo closeup
So cute! But kind of freakish.
Emus
We had seen a bunch of emus in the wild, but I hadn't seen any babies,
so I had to get this picture of them.
Sydney Harbour Bridge
This shot was taking from the harbour cruise ship we got to go on. You
might be able to see little things sticking up from the top beams.
Those are people climbing the bridge.
Sydney Opera House
This shot was taken from the cruise. I was to see Swan Lake at the
Opera House later that evening.
Opera house
Still on the cruise. You kind of have to be on a boat to get this
angle.
Sydney skyline
Yup, it's a city.
Bridge and Opera house
Same deal, different angle.
Sheep and Sheep-shearing guy
We went to a sheep shearing station, and after the dog in the picture
rounded-up this sheep, the guy sheared it. Look at the pathetic face
the sheep is making.
Before shearing
This was while the guy was explaining what he was going to do (shear
it).
During shearing
Aww, poor little sheep.
After shearing
Well, it probably feels better.
