Moonwolf

David Policar 1986.

Silver coat and flashing eyes,
A hunter under moonlit skies
Whose every fiber shines with eerie light,

His claws and fangs his weapons and
His badge of power, he stalks the land,
Seen only in the shadows, late at night.

No normal wolf is he, this beast,
No lamb or sheep shall be his feast,
Instead, he craves more satisfying prey.

So when the moon lights up the skies
Beware those silver flashing eyes,
For you are nowhere safe--until the day.
