Be Afraid!

Policar, 2004.

Ask no questions to disturb our fragile unity.
Let our leaders make their choices with impunity.
The liberty we're used to
Is a luxury today.
We just have to pray the way our fathers prayed,
And be afraid!

Don't examine your disquieting anxiety.
Trust your leadership to act with full propriety.
Trust their wisdom in deciding
Who the enemy is today
And to play the game the way the game is played,
And be afraid!

We choose anew our leadership this year.
Perhaps we can choose freedom over fear.
And perhaps this time they'll count our voices
When the votes are weighed,
So look closely at the choices that they've made,
And be afraid.
