I Wish to be the Latest of the Engineers You're Hiring Now

Sung to the tune of "I am the Very Model of a Modern Major General".

I wish to be the latest of the engineers you're hiring now.
The self-esteem, the income too, I want to show my worth somehow.
Recession gives you many choices, all need aught to pay their bills.
The best do work to help your firm avoid its worst financial ills.

The Boston Globe has contract lists for short durations billable,
and ads for jobs that disappear when open reqs are killable,
and lots of stuff from agencies whose prices you don't want to pay.
With MSCS and 5 years, I need to find a better way.

If "UNIX, Motif, C++" does not get me the interview
then maybe showing I can write's a better way to get to you,
or maybe you'll find poetry that I spew out by miles and miles
a welcome change from cover letters falling off your desk in piles.

I currently am located near south NH in eastern Mass.
I've gotten product out the door, can do varieties of task.
If you've a job that's fitting for an engineer and poet
who designs and codes C, LISP, and shellscripts, I would like to know it.

Normal cover-letter and resume available on request.

I have additional experience in VMS, OS/2, Mac, group-leadership, internationalization, phone support, writing specs, and other things not mentioned in the poem.

Please tell me what skills you're interested in, and please send your paper mail address.
