About Albert:

My Chinese name is ±i¦°¾^ (Chang Hsu Ting), pronounced as "Zhang Xu Ting" in Hanyu Pinyin. This is where my middle initial, H, comes from. After I came to the States, I attached Albert at the beginning of my name. I was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. I attended Taipei Shilin Elementary School for 6 years before spending another 3 years at Taipei Shilin Junior High School. I really miss those days, the people I've met, and the things I've learned, and the places I've been to. That 9-year period is my memory of Taiwan. After another one year at Taipei Jianguo High School (an all-guy high school), I moved to Orange, California and finished the remaining of my high school years at Villa Park High School. After graduating from high school, I attended the University of California, Berkeley, where I figured, why not spending another X years in school? Thus, here I am, at MIT.

In additional to academia and reaserch, I also enjoy getting involved in student activities on campus. Currently, I serve as the Chairman on the Ashdown Executive Committee and the Academic Committee Chair in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Graduate Student Association (EECSGSA).
