PSAI Literacy Project

10c/day For Literacy --- A PSAI Project ---

The purpose of the PSAI 10c/day literacy project is to help reduce illiteracy in Pakistan. Your donations of 10 cents per day ($36.50 per year) are used exclusively to help Pakistanis read and write. The donations are given to honest, efficient and reliable organizations in Pakistan, who are involved in the education of children. While we are not in a position to help all our compatriots, we certainly can make a real impact on some lives. And by doing this we can help strengthen that which we hold dear -- Pakistan.

Here is how you can participate:

Choose an organization in Pakistan that you wish to donate to. So far, most pledgers have donated to Alif Laila, a sixteen year old Pakistani non-government organization. Alif Laila needs Rs. 41,200 to run one school of 30-35 children for one year.

Hence, one pledger's $0.10/day donation for one year will fund 1 child's education for one whole year in an Alif Laila school.

Your name.
Name of your university/organization.
Total amount of money you are donating at this time.
Names of organizations in Pakistan to which you are earmarking your donation, and value of donation for each.
