I was born and brought up in a land called
PAKISTAN. It's a great country, with an incredibly diverse terrain
and an equally diverse and fascinating cultural heritage.
My Research:
I am doing research at MIT's Laboratory for Electromagnetic and
Electronic Systems (LEES). My interests are in
power electronics, power semiconductor devices and electromechanical
actuators - particularly their application in automotive systems. I am
currently involved in the design and evaluation of advanced automotive
electrical power distribution architectures. The work is sponsored by
Mercedes-Benz.
My advisors are Prof.
John Kassakian and Dr. Richard Tabors. You can learn more about my

My Interests:
I love to travel - by road, ship or plane. So far I have been to the
following countries: North America - USA, Canada, Europe
- UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Malta,
Africa - Morocco, Algeria, Tunesia, Libya, Egypt, Asia -
Oman, UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Pakistan, Thailand, Phillipines. I hope to
visit the rest of the world soon after my graduation. My other
interests include soccer, tennis, squash and skydiving.
My Associations:
I am a member of Sigma Xi, Tau Beta Pi, Eta Kappa Nu and the IEEE. I am also a member of the
following student associations at MIT: MITMSA, PAKSMIT and PAKSTUDY.
I am the treasurer for the Pakistan Students Association International
PSAI.
