    I chose the web site
    http://www.gospelcom.net/bible
This site, The Bible Gateway, offers a half-dozen different English
versions of the Bible and a half-dozen versions in other languages,
complete with search engines and pointers to their favorite passages.

I thought this site was interesting because the Bible is one of the
older surviving texts we know about, and it can be traced through a
variety of media, from oral story-telling to handwritten scrolls to
printed books to children's television shows to the World Wide Web.
The Bible was also a large motivating factor in designing and
propagating new media; for centuries the only reason people bothered
to become literate was to cite or transcribe the Bible. Considering
the different presentations of the Bible over the last few thousand
years and what its popularity did for communication (both good and
bad), I thought this web site was a good choice.
