Keith Battocchi
Mathematics
Arlington, Virginia
Awaking at 2 PM from his daily 12 hour hibernation, Keith manages to miss each and every class that he has. Thus, to occupy his time, Keith spends much of his day gaming. He can usually be found in front of a TV or at his computer. Of course, he is sure to break for dinner to maintain his gargantuan body. While it may seem like Keith is physically inactive, he is actually the starting tight end on the MIT varsity football team. He's also able to solve just about any math or physics problem and stay up very, very late sharing useless facts with whomever is willing to listen.
Dustin Berkovitz
Aeronautics & Astronautics
Marina Del Rey, California
This childhood actor has starred in such blockbuster movies as Big Top Pee Wee and The BRAT Patrol. Dustin takes great pleasure in competing on many of our IM sports teams, such as D league hockey and A League Tennis. Brothers frequently enjoy his cooking, and his laugh can be heard throughout most of the house. When not missing the warm Southern Califonia beaches or impersonating Jordan, Dustin can be found at BU with his girlfriend, Katie. Last year, Dustin spent his time on campus building a remote control blimp and helping out with the ThinkMars organization.
Leon Liu
Computer Science
Millwood, New York
Don't let his size fool you: this bouncy haired Theta Chi has the appetite of a moose. He also has the taste in music to be the next Puff Daddy. When he's not entertaining the hordes of women that follow him around, they're entertaining him. All his activity definitely takes its toll, though. While most of us use the stairs to travel between floors, Leon seems to think they make a good place for a nap.
Dave "Loopy" LoBosco
Aeronautics & Astronautics
Buffalo Grove, Illinois
A mild-mannered guy from just outside of Chicago, Loopy is a connoisseur of Jazz, the Back to the Future movies, and Sunkist soda. When not pretending "pop" is the same thing as "soda", Loopy can be found playing his trumpet, enjoying Conan O'Brien, or wandering towards IHOP in his bright yellow jacket. As one of the two social chairs last spring, he kept the house movin' and groovin'.
Jordan Miller
Biology
Tarzana, California
Jordan takes great pleasure in competing on many of our IM sports teams, such as D league hockey and B+ league volleyball. Brothers frequently enjoy his joking, and his laugh can be heard throughout most of the house. When not missing the warm Southern California beaches or impersonating Dustin, Jordan can usually be found partying at Wellesley. Although it might seem like Jordan spends the majority of his time goofing off, he's quite active on campus as JIFC Treasurer and JudComm Investigator, and his UROP also keeps him busy.
Matt Monteleone
Mathematics
Edison, New Jersey
Not satisfied with just being house librarian, Matt obtained the prestigious jobs of acting as MIT's mascot, TIM the Beaver, and captaining our IM basketball team. It's not all about athletics and offices to Matt, though, as he spends most nights studying. In fact, he may be too well-rounded academically, since he finds himself perfectly suited for a different major each week. Regardless of what he's doing, his towering physical presence never fails to impress the ladies. Despite all these commitments, Matt still manages to find time to amuse us "little people" each day.
Greg Nelson
Biology
Houston, Texas
When he's not impressing the ladies with his moves on the dance floor, Greg can be found leading the MIT varsity football team to victory as the star wide receiver. A true sports enthusiast, Greg also plays on almost every intramural team there is, from B+ league volleyball to D league hockey. When he's hanging around the house, he can be found tooling away like the rest of us or teaching himself to play guitar. Greg is also very active in the Campus Crusade for Christ, and he plans on going to medical school after graduating from MIT.
Dave Skordal
Physics
Bellevue, Washington
Thank goodness Dave is on the varsity football team; otherwise, he might never make the trek across the bridge to MIT. Don't think that Dave's reluctance to go to campus means that he doesn't excel both on and off the field, though. Next year Dave will be the starting quarterback for the division three powerhouse MIT Beavers. In the realm of academia, Dave will continue his freshman success by searching for Justice part II, or any other class without a midterm or final, and rewrites on all papers.
Mark Tompkins
Computer Science
Andover, Massachusetts
Hailing from Phillips Academy in Andover, Mark is one of our self-proclaimed adventurists. He enjoys nearly every outdoor activity known to man, including snowboarding, whitewater kayaking, skiing, hiking, and camping. Mark loves relaxing in the outdoors to avoid the pressures of MIT (such as deciding on his major). Though he's only a sophomore, Mark has already held the position of Communications Officer and remains an active member of our intramural soccer, hockey, and volleyball teams.
