For each cut, identify the performer. Then use the color of the light (R=1; O=2; Y=3; G=4; B=5; I=6; V=7) as an index into the performers name. Do not use first names or leading articles. This gives the following:

The clue phrase, “He’s playing here with Paul” refers to the duet of Chet Atkins and Les Paul. Using last names only yields the solution: ATKINS.
