Things that NEED TO BE DONE before publishing the FJE Home Page:

1. Supply the current rehearsal and performance schedule for events.html.
It's not really necessary to put in dates that have already passed,
I just did that to demonstrate. The text at the top of the page
	should be made accurate, also.

2. Add links to past.html.
Either fix what's there (at the very least, there are old programs
in the jamit locker, in .tex format - you can convert these to
acrobat or something), or put an Under Construction paragraph in
	its place.

3. Put a more official blurb at the beginning of the home page (index.html).
	And render it "visible". :)

Things that MIGHT WANT TO BE DONE before publishing the FJE Home Page:

1. Rearrange the navigation and edit the tabs on the side.
I could see many ways of breaking the content into categories and
decided in the end on this one:

		home
		history -> biography, band lore/stories
discography -> cd information, sound clips
upcoming events -> curr. roster, rehearsal & performance sched
past performances -> past programs, kudos from judges
		photo gallery -> random pictures

I built the navigation tab images using Microsoft Image Composer, so
making edits will be easiest if done with the .mic files used by
that program, rather than the GIFs themselves. The text is done in
the "Scrawlin" font (TTF file provided). You can also get rid
of the navigational tab altogether, but it's a useful navigational
aid, so I wouldn't recommend it.

2. Use frames for the navigational tab or some other navigational aid.
Frames limits browser support - I try to avoid using them unless
the benefit is that strong, and it isn't here.

3. Change copyright messages on the bottom of each page.
I freely allow the copyright for these pages to be transferred to
MIT and/or the FJE. The email address should probably be changed to
that of the webmaster or all of fje.

4. On cd1.html and goon.html, put CD images on html pages and reference
those instead of the GIFs themselves.
This would allow you to include captions for the photos, but if you
keep the navigational tab on those pages, you might want to make
	some of them narrower.

5. Make some sound clips.
I started to do this, but anything that was sampled at less than CD
quality sounded atrocious - being musical virtuosi, we probably
don't want that on our web page. But then, anything I sampled -
which had to be around 20-30 seconds to get a feel for the melody in
question - turned out to be on the order of Megabytes in size. This
renders it useless to anyone but people on the fastest of networks.

I recommend using a streamed-audio format, if possible. RealAudio
would work the best, but there are a few others available also.
This may take some gnoshing around with media lab facilities.
