The Institute Foundation is a student service group dedicated to to empowering students at MIT. To do this, we provide a variety of services to the MIT Community.

IAP 2000 School of Community Activism

During this week-long seminar, we will cover a variety of topics critical to effectiveness in student activism, including information about MIT (both "offical" and "underground"), general strategies for influencing the Institute, negotiation, communications skills, and project and process management.

The Service is a network of students located throughout the residences and departments who help other students with MIT-related problems. We help students with all sorts of questions, ranging from how to deal with paperwork to do what to do for more serious mistreatment cases. To help us in this effort, we receive professional support from the Public Service Center.

Our comprehensive news and information service that offers access to everything from breaking news to employment listings to sports scores.

Institvte is a monthly electronic journal that discusses student affairs issues. It acts as a community forum in which students (and other members of the community) can publish quality analyses of student affairs issues.

The journal is currently on hiatus, but will resume publication with the appointment of editors and reporters.
