to apply for Host-a-Shabbat (H-a-S)
- Anyone is eligible to apply to participate as a host one time per semester.
- H-a-S hosts must invite at least two guests. A maximum of four is suggested.
- H-a-S hosts are required to fill out a simple application form (Word or PDF).
- H-a-S hosts must fill out a simple follow-up form to receive reimbursement.
- H-a-S hosts are responsible for determining the location and invitations.
- H-a-S dates will be assigned by the Hillel office.
* Host-a-Shabbat leaders receive the following:
- Free: Two (2) challahs, Grape Juice, and two (2) tea candles
- Free: Shabbat dinner song and prayer sheets
- Free: Support and guidance (as desired) from Rabbi Sam
- Up to $50 reimbursement for expenses for the Shabbat dinner
