25^th Anniversary Celebration

of the Rehanging of the Old North Bells

Housing

Some limited housing is available with local ringers. Those interested in this possibility should contact Mira Whiting directly at miracb@gmail.com.  Hotels rates in Boston in the summer time are generally pretty high.  We have arranged group rates at several.  The “☺” marks lodging particularly close to the Advent, where most activities will take place.

 

Budget

☺The John Jeffries House

 $115-$179/night; B&B in older building adjoining major highway; About 5 minute walk to Advent and 30 minutes  to Old North.

Midtown Hotel 

We have a group rate for $149/night; mention “Bellringers” when making reservations (which must be before August 10th). Located near Northeastern University and the Boston Symphony, about 30 minute walk from the Advent and probably 40 minute walk from Old North (although by using the subway, you could shorten the Old North travel time by about 50%).

  

Moderate

The Radisson

We have a group rate for $199/night; mention “Change Ringers” when making reservations (which must be before August 15^th); About 15 minute walk to Advent; 30 minute to Old North.

The Double Tree

821 Washington Street; $200/night -- About 15 minute walk to Advent; 30 minute to Old North.

 

Expensive

The Millennium Bostonian Hotel

We have a group rate  at $289/night; Near Faneuil Hall; 10 minute walk to Old North and 20 minute to the Advent.

☺The Charles Street Inn

We have a group rate starting at $301/night which includes full breakfast for two delivered to your room; mention “Dianne Cermak” when making reservations (which must be before August 15^th) -- 19th Century, Beacon Hill style, large rooms. 5 minute walk to Advent and 30 minute to Old North.

☺Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro

$325/night -- Modern, European style, small rooms. 5 minute walk to Advent and 30 minute to Old North.

 

Unbelievinkable  

(If you don’t remember “Laugh-In,” then never mind)

☺Liberty

Call for rates; were in the $400-$600/night range six months ago -- Gorgeously renovated old jail right on the river.  Between our two towers, about 10 minute to the Advent and 20 minute to Old North.

The Jury

$355-$515/night -- Very recently renovated Boston Police Headquarters; visiting Brits recommend it.  It is probably 20 minute to the Advent and 25 minute to Old North.

 

There are also some nice modern hotels on the harbor, like the Boston Harbor Hotel or the Marriott Long Wharf, with overall rates starting in the mid-$400s.  These would be about a 10-15 minute walk to Old North and about 30-40 minute to the Advent.
