Some on-the-side projects of mine:

• libgmail — I maintain libgmail on a sort of on-and-off basis (read: showstopper bugs, and "whenever I feel like it")
• penpal — Gary Blehm makes a series of posters called "Find the Two Identical Penmen". I wrote a computer program that, given a photograph of this poster, will do just that, and summarized my results in a short paper.
• rssZephyr — A Python script that zephyrs out updates to RSS feeds, as they become available
• StoneSheetCuts — an AOL Instant Messenger bot of mine that lets you play Rock, Paper, Scissors with another AIM user.
• Guido van Robot — a programming environment kind of like Logo, for teaching people how to program
