Questions about the MIT IAP Mystery hunt?
Please fill out this form, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

If you are registering for the 2008 Hunt, please read the page about room reservations first.

To register, we need to know:

  1. Your team name
  2. Contact email for the team
  3. Estimated team size (which to us means maximum number of people solving simultaneously at any point in the hunt, both on campus and remote)
  4. Preferred username and password for the puzzle server
  5. Contact person's name, phone number, and e-mail address
  6. Cell phone numbers that may be used to contact the team during the 2008 Mystery Hunt
  7. Expected percent of the team that will be away from the MIT area during the 2008 Mystery Hunt
  8. Expected percent of the team that are current MIT students
  9. Whether your team is willing to accept unattached hunters
  10. Either your room preferences for the base reservation system (for a room list click here), or the location and telephone number (preferably a landline) of your base. For room preferences we would like you to rank the available rooms and give us some idea why you want what you want, and what you are looking for in an HQ. Also, if you had a room reservation last year, tell us what you liked and disliked about that room. Be detailed; we aren't doing this by computer.

Teams should have at least one current MIT student. Optimal size for a competitive team is at least a dozen team members, with plenty of MIT student participation. However, smaller or older teams should still have fun.

If you don't have a team, please let us know whether you'd like us to put you on a list of unattached hunters.

If you do not know all of this information yet, that's ok. We'd rather receive a half-finished registration form submitted early than a completed one just before the deadline, so feel free to register early and then send us updates!
